Neck Lift
Procedure
Here is a general overview of the neck lift procedure:
Anesthesia: The patient is given either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation to ensure they are comfortable throughout the procedure.
Incisions: The surgeon makes small incisions behind the ears and/or under the chin.
Lifting: The surgeon then lifts the skin and underlying tissues of the neck, smoothing out wrinkles and repositioning fat deposits as needed.
Tightening: The surgeon may also tighten the underlying muscles of the neck to enhance the lift and longevity of the results.
Fixation: The lifted tissue is then repositioned and held in place with sutures or surgical staples.
Closing the incisions: Once the lifting and tightening are complete, the incisions are closed with sutures or staples.
Bandages: The surgeon may then place a bandage or compression garment over the neck to minimize swelling and bruising.
Recovery: The patient will be monitored for a short period after the surgery and given instructions for postoperative care, including pain management and wound care.
It’s important to note that the specific technique used in a neck lift can vary depending on the patient’s anatomy and desired results. It’s best to discuss the procedure in detail with a qualified plastic surgeon to determine the best approach for your individual needs.
